Alana Aubin

Alana has been a competitive pool swimmer since childhood and was introduced to open water swimming after college via a brief stint in triathlon. She enjoys competing in open water events of various distances, from local 1- and 3-mile races to ultramarathon solo swims. Alana trains with Boston University Masters and regularly competes in Masters pool meets across New England. She holds the course record (6:18:01) for the Double Boston Light Swim and was a USMS Long Distance All-Star for 2019. More recently, Alana won the inaugural Champion of Champions in Lake Memphremagog, VT, which consisted of three swims (6.5 miles, 3.5 miles, and 2 miles) spread over 8 hours.

Alana is a USMS Level III Coach who has served on the New England LMSC Board of Directors for the past ten years and is currently the Immediate Past Chair. Alana is also the Vice President and Treasurer of the Massachusetts Open Water Swimming Association (MOWSA) and part of the Boston Light Swim organizing committee. Out of the water, Alana works as a data analyst in tech and enjoys adventuring with her husband, Kyle, and their dog, Maple.
