Andy Donaldson

Andy Donaldson is a Scottish-Australian marathon swimmer and three-time world record holder. Known for his remarkable achievements in open water swimming, he set the fastest time to complete the Oceans Seven challenge, and the quickest swim across New Zealand's Cook Strait. In 2023, he was honored with the titles of Man of the Year and Performance of the Year by the World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA).

In 2022, Andy embarked on the Oceans Seven challenge, aiming to finish within a year to raise funds for the Black Dog Institute and raise awareness for mental health. He completed this challenge in 355 days, breaking the record for cumulative swim time as well.

Beyond his swimming accomplishments, Andy is a passionate advocate for mental health, sustainability, and the sport of swimming. He has raised funds for several charities, including the Kai Fella Foundation, Black Dog Institute, Telethon, and the Perron Institute for Neurological Science. His dedication to combining purpose with sport makes him a distinguished figure in the swimming community.
